The Leuser Ecosystem is the last place where Sumatran tigers, organutans, rhinos and elephants live together in the wild. However, this critical land is fast being lost to threats like the palm oil industry. Holtzman Wildlife Foundation awarded a grant to the Oceanic Preservation Society to support the production of a film about the Leuser Ecosystem, which comprises nearly seven million acres of jungle on the Indonesian Island of Sumatra.
Pangolin: Kulu’s Journey is a 2025 Netflix Documentary about an endangered baby pangolin who is rescued from poachers. The Johannesburg veterinary hospital featured in the film is a recipient of a grant funding for equipment from the Holtzman Wildlife Foundation.

The Red Panda Network works directly with the community to educate local children on the importance of red panda conservation. HWF supported the translation of The Forgotten Panda into Nepalese, Bhutanese, and Hindi to support local distribution.
